Troy and Clawson Community Coalitions and Chiefs of Police to host a K2/Spice Forum at 6:30 p.m. on May 30 at the Troy City Council Chambers. This forum is a one-stop educational bonanza for anyone who loves a teenager. The elite panelists include a doctor from the Center for Disease Control, Troy E.M.S. First Responder, a Beaumont Health Systems Representative, the mother of a K2/Spice addicted teen, former K2/Spice abusers, ER doctor, and a Troy teenage addiction counselor.

Come see, smell, and touch K2/Spice at the Forum. Educate yourself and learn what to look for in your teen’s behavior, become familiar with K2/Spice’s stylish packaging, and most importantly, learn how to confront your teen about drug use, where to take him/her for a K2/Spice specific drug test, and where to go if your teen is abusing drugs.

Tuesday, May 29th at the Dearborn City Council Meeting (8:30 pm), an announcement for a statewide boycott of B/P gas stations will be made. The sale of “K2″ derivitives appears to continue at many of their retail establishments and their coporate office has refused to return numerous phone calls on the subject. We need both supporters and media coverage at this event to further our cause of making Michigan “K2″ free….your assistance is humbly requested.

Saturday, May 26, 2012 – Protest

Location: B/P gas station located on the corner of Cherry Hill and Telegraph in Dearborn at 11:00 am

The Rally was a success!

March 19, 2012 a protest / rally at the Future Fuels gas station achieved 100% of its objectives. The owner of the facility has agreed to cease and desist from any future sales of “K2″, has agreed to appear in front of the Dearborn City Council and apologize to the community, agreed to work with the Not In Our Neighborhood! group to educate other retailors to no longer sell these products and paid a $300 fine to cover the expenses of the protest / rally. When he has fully met the terms of his agreements, the economic boycott will be lifted and he will be welcomed back into our community.

Thanks to all the citizen soldiers that made the protest successful…especially Davon Carlton.

A protest rally is scheduled for May 19th 2012 at the Future Fuels gas station in Dearborn.

We need as many folks there as possible to make a strong statement that selling “K2″ in our community is unacceptable and that there will be severe economic consequences for those retailers who put profit above the welfare of our youth.

Volunteers are requested to help manage and control the event.
